Dimitar Yankov was born in 1952 in Dobrich city, Bulgaria. He is an artist, a sculptor whose works include works of bronze, stone, iron and glass.
First creative appearances 1977. Till 1990 takes part in many regional and national joint exhibitions. 1991 First solo exhibition in the town of Degendorf, Germany. 1992 Second solo exhibition in Augsburg, Germany. 1998 opening a monument of Zahari Stoyanov in Dobrich, Bulgaria. From 2000 to 2005 he lives and works in Portugal. For this period there are 7 solo exhibitions, 12 monumental works, including the monument of St. Cyril and Methodius at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria. Between 2010 and 2015, many application projects, including two bust-monuments for Ukraine and a two-meter composition “Faith, Hope and Love”. Since 2017, with the invitation of the Sicar-Iperti Foundation, he has worked in Vallauris, France. During this period he has participated in three exhibitions – Vallauris, Sophia Antipolis and Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
